Service

What is Direct-Impact Service?

Direct-impact service means that Quadratum members go to sites where there are needs and do what they are asked to do. These needs include gaps in services, uncared-for relationships, or making information available. For the latter, this most often means making and sharing musics with folks we serve. In the above photo, we are at Murphy-Harpst Children’s Home salvaging a volleyball court by removing weeds, rocks, pouring and grading new sand, and later we will string up a new net. Afterwards, we do Ghanaian drumming for and with the residents. Meaning, these teenagers can come up to the drums and learn to play them, guided by Quadratum members themselves.

Our service partners include: LifeLine Animal Project; Murphy-Harpst Children’s Home; and The Men’s and Women’s Extension (of Cobb County). On tours, we necessarily work with local sites.
